One of the best ways to get traffic to your website is to be on top of the
results page of a search engine. Since there is only one “number one” for
every search, your website being listed there is almost impossible with the
millions of sites and billions of articles on the internet.

However, that doesn’t mean that you shouldn’t strive to be part of the top
ten in a results page. A good way to rise through the rankings of search
results is by having an article on each page of your website that contains at
least 250 words. This article should contain carefully chosen keywords and
content about your website or your products.

Link exchange programs are like merchant associations or chambers of
commerce. By being part of a link exchange program, you agree to display
the links of other partner sites in your website. The links that will be placed
in your website are those links that lead to other websites that are in the
same category as your website. For example, if you have an ‘internet
marketing’ website, then most of your links will be other ‘internet marketing’
sites as well. In return for placing their links on your site, they will place
links on their webpages to your site. How does this help to get traffic to your
site? If in a search, one of your partner sites shows up, but yours does not,
the searcher is redirected to that site. If your partner site does not have the
product or information needed by the searcher, then the searcher will
probably click on the link to a partner site. There’s no ‘sure thing’ that the
link will be yours, but it gives you a shot.

Banner exchanges work much like link exchanges but you will need more
space on your website to accommodate other website banners. If you are
particular about the cosmetics of your website, then you might not like this
one. With so many banners being displayed, you might get to look like a
“banner farm”. Even so, a potential live link is still a point in favor of your
site being visited by someone.

Newsletters and ezine article writing are another way to direct some website
traffic in your direction. You write hundreds, even thousands, of articles to
saturate the web. Within these articles are links to your website. Having all
those articles around is similar to having mini-websites scattered all over
strategic places. With these articles, you can also give the reader an option
to subscribe to your newsletter. If they do subscribe, then you are right at
their door, ready to make your sales pitch, through your email marketing

If you want “the lion’s share”, you can turn your site into something like
Wikipedia. The only difference is that you have merchandise to sell on each
page of your website while Wikipedia does not. Using this method, you are
almost guaranteed a top ten placement in any search engine on the internet.
Of course, this would mean a lot of work. But if you really want to make
good money, then you have to put out a good effort. The methods for
increasing website traffic I mentioned in this article are just some of the
many ways available on the internet. The most successful are those that
involve newsletters, ezine articles, and link exchanges with other websites.
It’s up to you to decide which method you’ll use!

How many times have you searched the internet looking for
something and ended up coming across a website that advertised
an e-book for sale? If you have, you are not alone; a lot of
internet users come across these types of web pages. These
types of web pages are known as ‘sale sites’. What is nice about
many of these e-book sale sites is that many are successful;
many clicks end up turning into e-book sales. That is why, if
you are looking to create and sell an e-book or sell an e-book
that you already created, you are advised to make your own sales

Although there is a good chance that you have come across an
e-book sales site, there is also a chance that you haven’t. If
that is the case, you will want to take the time to familiarize
yourself with e-book sale sites. As you might assume, e-book
sale sites are websites that are used to sell an e-book. Many
times, that is the only point of an e-book sales site. In fact,
that is one of the many reasons why e-book sale sites are so
popular, because they work! Focusing only on one product,
instead of multiple ones, will increase your chances of
successfully making sales.

When it comes to creating a sales page for your e-book, do you
know what you should include? While you can include just about
anything you want, there are certain things that should
definitely be included on an e-book sales site, especially if
you want your sales site to work to your advantage. One of the
many things that you should include on your sales page is small
portions of text from your e-book. Showing small portions of
your e-book is a great way to increase your chances of making
sales. It is a known fact that customers prefer knowing exactly
what they are about to buy.

Customer testimonials or e-book reviews are other important
components of an e-book sales site. As it was mentioned above,
customers like to know what they are about to purchase. They
also want to know that your product, in this case your e-book,
is worth their money. Aside from showing small portions of your
e-book, customer testimonials are the next best approach.
Consumers are more likely to purchase products that come highly
rated and recommended. To spice up your customer testimonials,
you may want to think about including video. If you can, have
some of your readers make a quick video praising your e-book.
This video can be as short as a few seconds or as long as a few
minutes, either way it may help to improve the overall quality
of your e-book sales site.

Now that you know exactly what an e-book sales site is, as well
as what they include, you may be wondering exactly why you
should create a sales page or site for your e-book. As it was
mentioned above, e-book sales pages or sites, tend to focus
solely on one product. Not having any competition will increase
your chances of making a sale. It is also important to note
that e-book sales sites look professional and they tend to rank
highly among search engines. What does this mean for you? It
means that your sales site has a good chance of being found by
internet users who are just surfing for interesting sites.
Wouldnt it be neat if an internet user who wasnt even looking
for your product found it and made a purchase?

Another reason why you should think about making an e-book sales
site or at least an e-book sales page is because it is easy to
do. If you are unfamiliar with web design, you can easily make
a sales page by hiring the services of a professional web
designer or by using site builders, which provide you with free
webpage templates. Go ahead, start your own e-book sales site!

“Your Blog Equals Fast SE Rankings”

by Galen Anderson

If you run a site and are looking to get it listed quickly on
search engines, there really is no easier and quicker way than
to also put a blog on the site. It is a known fact that search
engine spiders from sites like Google and Altavista list new
blogs much faster than they list new sites. However, it’s not as
simple as just creating a blog and letting it just sit there. You
have to also use tactics like pinging, linking, and the use of
keywords. We’ll go over each so that you are able to effectively
use your blog for a quick site listing. We’ll also briefly go
over how to host your own blog on your site.

So how do I host my own blog, anyway?

The easiest way to do this is to install and run a blogging
software from another company on your web site’s server. One
such software that is popular is WordPress. It’s fairly easy to
install and works pretty well on your site. Other blogging
software options include:

Apache Roller

Whichever one you choose, be sure to follow the instructions
provided by the company so that the installation goes smoothly.

Where should I put my blog on my site?

Most people who host their blog to help their site get listed
quickly don’t put the blog on the main page of the site, because
the site isn’t all about the blog. Instead they put it in its
own folder at But you can really put your blog
anywhere on your site, so it’s your call.

What is pinging?

It’s a question that many ask, so don’t feel silly if you don’t
know what pinging is. Pinging is essentially a tracking program
installed on your blog that will notify the site which it is
from whenever your blog is updated. Search engine spiders
usually visit newly pinged sites most often, which is why
pinging is such a crucial part of the equation to get your site
listed quickly. Sites that are newly “pinged” will be visited by
search engine spiders. A visit from the spider equals a listing
on the search engine.

How do I get pinging on my blog?

You’ll have to register with a site that offers weblog pinging.
The most popular pinging program around is Other
programs offered include Yahoo’s, BlogRolling, and
Technorati. Once you’ve decided on a pinging service, you’ll
have to follow the instructions to install it on your blog. When
you’ve done that, your blog will start getting pinged and
visited by search engine spiders.

What is linking?

Linking is basically having another blog or site link to your
blog. When search engine spiders visit that site and see a link
to your site, they’ll visit your site. Linking is effective both
for sites with blogs and those without it.

How do I get linking?

You get it by visiting sites/blogs that are relevant to what
your site is about. Then you contact the owners of those
sites/blogs, asking them to post a link to your site on their
site. In return, you will probably have to link to their site on
your site. That way, both of you are able to benefit from the

Why is the use of keywords important to my blog?

Spiders love to visit sites with a good amount of keywords.
People who read your site won’t mind the use of keywords if they
are lightly spread throughout the content of your pages. The key
to this is to make a list of keywords relevant to your blog
posting and then to try to use those keywords throughout your
content. It is important to make sure, however, not to overuse
keywords. Spiders have been trained to ignore sites with
excessive amounts of keywords, so if you use a whole lot of
keywords in the hopes of getting spiders to visit your site,
it’s not going to do you any good. Generally speaking, using
between 2-6 keywords per 200 word piece of content is a good
ratio. It’s pleasing to both readers and search engine spiders.

That’s really all there is to it. Apply the above techniques to
your blog and you will net your site a quick search engine

To your success,
Galen Anderson

P.S. There is no quicker way to get your site listed than to use
a blog. So install a blog on your site today and you’ll be
listed sooner than you could have imagined!

EMAIL MARKETING TIPS!      by   Galen Anderson

Using email is a great way to market and promote your Internet Marketing business. With people being so busy and getting junk mail, how do you make your email stand out? Here are some helpful tips to
get you the most benefits from this effective marketing tool. It
is important to do some research and attempt to get your
marketing sent to a target market that will likely be interested
in the products or services you are offering.

Some companies randomly send emails to people who have
absolutely no interest in what is being advertised. You will get
a very low response from such marketing methods. If your website
asks for consumer information including an email address, be
respectful. Ask if they are interested in receiving e-mail
advertisements and promotions. If they choose not to, then don’t
add them to your data base for marketing by email. Make sure you
have the permission of the consumer to send them such materials.
You are required by law to include an opt out link in the event
the consumer no longer wants to receive such emails from you.

Statistics show Tuesday and Wednesday are the most effective
days to send out marketing emails. Send them out in the morning
so that individuals have time to read them during breaks, lunch
hours, and in the early evening. You might have a lot of
information to pass on to the target market, but keep your email
short and to the point. Most internet users like to go through
their emails quickly. If yours is lengthy it may get deleted or
saved to be read later. You want the consumer to be able to read
it as soon as they click on it and get all the information. Make
sure you have hyperlinks that take consumers immediately to your
website if they are interested. Internet users are not patient.
Most will not wait longer than five seconds for your website to

It is important to test your marketing email in the various
email programs including Yahoo, MSN, Hotmail, and AOL because
they all work differently. Your graphics and pictures may be
distorted in particular email programs. This will result in all
those consumers not being able to use your marketing email as it
was intended. Taking the time to conduct these tests can make
the difference between an effective email marketing campaign and
one that is a flop.

How often do you want to send an email to your consumers? This
can be tricky to determine. It really depends on your products
or services and your target market. You want to keep your
business name fresh in the mind of the consumers but they will
stop reading the emails from you if they become too frequent.
Some businesses do them weekly or monthly. Others choose to only
send an email when there is a huge promotion going on. A
business newsletter is a great way to contact the consumer
monthly with fresh information. You also want to give consumers
a very simple way to change their email address as it is very
common to change email service providers.

You need to have an effective system set up to answer any
questions emailed to you from customers within 24 hours. This
will show your business is serious about keeping them satisfied
before, during, and after they make a purchase. Issues come up
and most consumers will give your business the opportunity to
help resolve the situation. This is your opportunity to prove
the integrity of your business.

Email marketing is a very effective and useful tool for
marketing your e-business. Taking the time to proceed with the
process after you have conducted some research to identify the
target market, and following these effective email marketing tips
will provide you with the opportunity to generate the most
business from your marketing campaign. There is a great deal of
competition in the world of Internet Marketing and you will have to work hard to be the best.

Believe it or not, it’s really possible to earn money from blogging. One teenager has, in truth, made $5,000 a month just from making posts on his blog site! Well known blogger, John Chow, reportedly earns $140,000 per month from his blog! Naturally, not every blog writer is this lucky. It does take some skill, and some luck to earn money from blogging. What it also takes is some understanding of exactly how to generate earnings just by publishing blogs. In this article, we will go over three certain approaches of making money on your blog: Adsense, Pay Per Lead, and Affiliate Links.

So exactly how specifically do I make cash on my blog?

You do it by dealing with another company that wishes to utilize your
blog site as a type of marketing. It seems like selling out,
right? Not exactly. The advertising can be as in your face or
subtle as you want. And it can still make you cash, assuming
you have enough visitors to your blog.

Exactly what is Adsense?

Adsense is a program offered by Google. The program, if
installed, will show ads offered by Google.

How do I get Adsense?

You’ll need to go to, initially. At the bottom of the
screen is a link for “Advertising Programs”. Click on that. Then
click on the link for “Adsense”. Scroll down on the page that
turns up and click “Go here To Apply!” You then fill out the
form with details about yourself. After 12-48 hours, Google
will alert you via email whether your website has actually been
accepted. When you’ve been accepted, establish your ads by doing
either of the following:.

1. If your blog is hosted on, you can set up your
AdSense advertisements by going to your profile, picking
settings, and choosing a template. Then select ‘AdSense’ and login
with your account info. Next, you’ll configure your ads and save
the template. That’s it.
2. If you are self-hosting your blog site, you’ll need to set up
AdSense in even more of a manual means. You’ll develop your ads (which can be as small or as tall as you want) then copy the
HTML/Javascript code Google offers you. Then you’ll paste it into
your blog (on the left, right, or top of the display).

For the first few days, the ads shown by Google will be
Public Service Announcements. After the ads have actually been up a few days, though, the advertisements will switch over to ads that relate to your blog.

How does Adsense work?

Whenever a visitor clicks an Adsense ad, you get a bit
of cash (normally around 30-60 cents). The quantity you get for
each ad clicked depends upon the number of one-of-a-kind visitors you
get on your blog site. The even more visitors, the even more cash that can be made.

Google will then send a check or pay you with Paypal when
you’ve made a minimum of $100 from the ads.

It is crucial to keep in mind that Google will penalize you if you
click your own ads, or if you ask visitors specifically to click
ads. So don’t do that!

Pay Per Click.

Pay Per Click is generally similar to AdSense, except you do not
just work with Google– you work with several business.
BidVertiser is one such company you can join to do Pay
Per Click advertising.

How do I get Pay Per Click?

You register with a website like Bidvertiser and afterwards follow their
instructions to set up the Pay Per Click ads on your website.

How does Pay Per Click work?

It works by paying you cash each time someone clicks an ad that
you show. You will not get paid for several clicks from the
very same user in the same visitor, nor will you earn for someone
simply seeing your website. You just make money for genuine

Affiliate Links.

Affiliate links are basically links which people pay you for.
Companies will actually pay owners of popular blogs to publish
links on their blog. You can do as much Affiliate linking as you

How do I get Affiliate Links?

You can get Affiliate links by looking for “Affiliate Link
Programs” on the web. Once you find an Affiliate link
program that looks excellent to you, sign up for it. Then you can
follow their instructions for putting the link(s) on your blog site.

How do Affiliate Links work?

Like the various other 2 techniques discussed above, Affiliate links work
by paying you cash each time they are clicked. You make money for
each click per distinct visitor.

So that’s it. There’s 3 legitimate means to earn money from
blogging. It is essential to remember that the amount of
money you have the ability to make depends on exactly how many visitors your blog site draws. If you draw a lot, you’ll make a lot. If not, the
cash you earn will be modest. However it’s still extra money, so
why not do it?

Generating income making use of Adsense, PPC, or Affiliate Link
programs is easy and effective. Begin monetizing your blog site

There are some really great graphics on the Internet, and I can only guess at how much the webmaster of any given website spends  on looking great! I have experimented with graphic design on some eBooks I’ve written, as well as headers for my websites. My first experience of designing an ecover was not ‘outsourcing’ at all, but the price was certainly right……FREE! The website is and there are 4 or 5 templates for you to choose from to make your own ecover, available in 2D and 3D. Aside from text, there’s also a nice selection of graphics and stock photos you can use. For those of us with little graphic design talent, they make it fairly easy to get an eBook or software box cover.British 3D

Above is a cover I did for free for one of my eBooks, on the above mentioned site. I have since replaced it with a new, outsourced one, and you will see a remarkable difference in the two, By the way, you can also design banners on the same site, but you’re limited to one size. If you’ve written an eBook and need a cover, and your budget is limited, check out They do have a monthly membership fee, which offers many more templates, but the free membership will suffice for some.

Now the fun part! I had to experience this outsourcer for myself, to believe it. is the place for your graphic design needs! There, I said it! I have some examples of eCovers and headers I had done at Fiverr. The first one is for the same eBook  that I designed myself, shown above. This one was done by “Header 5Bucks”, his user name. Which one do you like?

britishsound cover6

The price was $5.00, no shipping and no tax!  Here’s another example by the same gentleman, “Header_5Bucks”.

freeclickbank cover 8

Both the above eBooks are in the Amazon Kindle program, along with one more. Next, I wanted to show you work by “Max_Fix”, another user name. The turnaround time is 2 or 3 days.

Yes, this is the header for this website, and I just wrote a little description for Max, and that was the result. I was pleased with the initial presentation, although he offered to make changes. Again, $5.00! And here is another header by Max I had done…

This is another example of a header by “Max_Fix”.  By the way, you send the payment by Paypal, and they instantly go to work on your project. Fiverr has an excellent search engine, and you just enter what you’re looking for, and you’re taken instantly to whatever you’re looking for. I’ve had some other things done there, including ‘backlinks’, and ‘backlink software’, as well as other eCovers. So the next time you write an eBook, go to, and hire one of their graphic designers to do your eCover. From the looks of the finished product you receive, I’m pretty sure they’re using “Photoshop”, or some other similar software. And why are they willing to work so cheap, when most graphic design studios charge upward sums like $75.00 to $100.00 per project? Well, I’m not sure what the answer is to that one, perhaps it’s a reflection of the economy here in America. Whatever the reason, it’s up to you and me to take advantage of these services available for such low prices. Get those creative juices flowing and put up that blog, or write that eBook you’ve had in the back of your mind. Now is the time! Don’t wait!

Hi Everyone,

I certainly hope you enjoy! I’m playing and singing on all the tracks, overdubbing all vocals on this song, what I call “country-rock”. The only thing I don’t play is drums, and the drummer is a Roland 909 computerized machine that I program from count-off to end. He doesn’t make any mistakes, so once you get his program right, he will just play and play, and not make any mistakes.

And when I say “him” or “he”, a wonderful friend and musician buddy, Wallace Coker, gave the drummer ‘Spock’ or ‘Mr. Spock’ his name, and always called him by name, and talked about him like he was a real person. He’d say something like “Well, how’s Spock tonight?”, or “Did Mr. Spock eat a good supper tonight”?

By the way, My friend Wallace and I played in a 4 piece band, then later we did a 2 man band, with Spock, who made it a 3 man band, but Spock didn’t get paid. Sad to say, My friend Wallace passed away several years ago, and I still miss him. He was a great guitar and bass player and singer, and He and I would swap instruments around, like he would switch from guitar to bass, and I’d get on tenor sax, and we’d play an instrumental, or Wallace would play some sort of guitar instrumental. We had a blast!

I do intend to post other songs of mine, since I also write rock and rap, as well as country.

If you haven’t started your online business or blog, you need to get started ASAP! Time is wasting, so go ahead and call ‘Hostgator’, and maybe you can get started for the $1.00 special. Those guys and gals in the customer service department are so helpful, and I had to add ‘gals’, since I will occasionally talk to a female, and believe me, they know lots about computers too. Sometimes I’ll call them at 3.00 AM with a problem, the last , I believe, I had  an ‘index of’ page show up on the internet, when I typed the domain name into my browser. Well, it seems I needed my ‘HT Access file re-programmed, and don’t ask me HOW they did it, they just did. And WA-LAH! Showing on the internet now was my beautiful website! And believe me, when you get your first website up, you will be so proud!

Now, I see all the time, “FREE websites”, and these sites come with banners and text ads in place, ready for your ID’s to be put in place to make you money. There, you’ve got the website, now call Hostgator at 1-866-964-2867 and get your hosting! If you get the plan I have, add as many domains as you like, and the price is $9.95, and doesn’t go up as you add domains and sites! And if you call them, please tell them that Galen Anderson, aka Galentheprophet, recruited you to Hostgator, and deserves his commission. I think their web address is, so sign up online too.

I highly recommend for your autoresponder service, and they’re $19.00 per month. You’re up to $29.00 per month, and you should make more than that from your Adsense funds and your Clickbank commissions. But don’t guit your job just yet, but believe me, you will be able to one day.

I got 2 or 3 websites from John Thornhill and Dave Nicholson, and they were free, of course. One is about ‘walking’, one is about ‘dog training’, and one is a ‘wedding site”, and I can’t remember if the ‘wedding site’ was from Thornhill and Nicholson, but I’m sure the other 2 were. I bought domain names for each of the sites, and they were $12.99 each through GoDaddy.Com. For the ‘Walking site” I bought ‘eWalking.Net’, The ‘Wedding site’ was ‘eMemorableWeddings.Com’ , and the other one was Can you guess what it’s about? As you can see, I like to add an “E” to my domain names!

To be honest, you may not make any money at all in the first few months, but keep trying, and eventually, you will succeed! There is some insane money to be made in Internet Marketing, and in order to make the money, you MUST have traffic!

And I couldn’t close without telling you how to get traffic to your websites and blogs. Richard Legg has a video out on ‘Traffic’, and you need that video. I paid $9.00 for it, and I’m sure it’s still available. Through the wise use of keywords, Legg tells how to get listed on the front page of Google, and with that listing comes the traffic! (For more info go to

Just be ready for your new flood of traffic, with your sales funnels in place, and your ‘call-to-action buy now’ buttons in place. You should have plenty of product offerings for whatever ‘niche’ you are presenting.

And for goodness sakes, go ahead and call Hostgator, and start your account for $1.00! That will be money well spent, and you will have gotten started.

As you know, anyone getting into the Internet Marketing niche must have a website building software, preferably with easy HTML coding.  I have been using Microsoft’s Front Page software for several years now, and I guess I still would be, if Front Page hadn’t actually become unusable! Just a small deal, but something that ground FP to a halt! Before I tell you, I will tell you in advance that I deleted and reloaded the software from the original disc, more than once. Well, I might as well say it. After working perhaps an hour or two, I COULDN’T SAVE ANYTHING! There, I said it.

Well, I said all that to say this: I downloaded the free software “Kompozer”, and I love it! I was forced out of my comfort zone, and once I actually tried a totally different website editing software, I found myself noticing the new features, those not available on FP. You can download your FREE software at http://Kompozer.Net.

Take note that it’s laid out much like Front Page. You’re presented with a large “TV Screen” work area, and a toolbar that offers all your text features, and many more so than the Front Page software. For instance, FP only takes you up to a 36pt. size letter, while Kompozer offers text sizes to infinity. Font colors are about equal on the two softwares.

One great feature I absolutely love about Kompozer is the ability to edit several websites practically at the same time. Well, you do have to click on a tab labeled with the Website name you were looking for. Sad to say, FP could not do that, only one at a time.

Without boring you with too much detail, I would like to say that Kompozer is very easy to use, and for goodness sakes, it’s FREE!

Oh, and one last thing. What did I do with all those FP websites that I couldn’t save? I copied and pasted all those FP websites, and transferred each one to my new Kompozer software. Now, I edit those websites in my spare time.
